Job location: Head office in Hedge End, Southampton and regional hubs in Bristol and Ashford
The role will be responsible for:
- Take responsibility for document control; saving drawings and documents in accordance with systems and processes.
- Review and determine materials, equipment, service capacities and layouts in accordance with specifications.
- As a skilled engineer, liaising with the teams to assist and coordinate design process from contract award through to construction.
- Organise process, coordinate legal requirements and adhere to safety standards.
- Direct gas and water connection requests.
- Liaise with procurement colleagues to place orders for pipework, cables and plan materials.
- Manage MPANS & MPRNS from the relevant Asset adopters.
- Oversee the process for Asset Maps and Highway Extent Plans.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of Substations.
- Make payments, send remittances and record information.
- Organise and establish records and documentation to ensure prompt asset value support.
- Provide administration support to the Technical Managers.
Qualifications and experience:
- BEng or MEng related degree or minimum of 2 years’ relevant engineering experience in a similar role.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- Be familiar with using a database and CRM systems to manage data.
- A strong attention to detail to ensure that systems run seamlessly.
- Time management skills that allow effective prioritisation.
- Excellent Customer Service ethos.
- A can-do attitude that will support other tasks as the business develops.
