Connect it are a growing multi utility company and to help support our success we are looking to expand our Transport and Support Services Team by recruiting a Fleet and Assets Coordinator. This role will support with the ongoing compliance of our growing number of vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment required for the efficient operation of our field-based workforce. Essentially maintaining timely procurement advisement, calibration, and stock management of company assets.

Based in our office and warehouse complex in Hedge End, Southampton.

Location:

Foundation House, Hedge End.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt a zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety aligned to legislation and company policy.
  • Monitor and manage the timely inspection, calibration, and testing of assets in line with statutory requirements and Company policy.
  • Liaise with suppliers and key internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of upcoming asset inspections and bookings.
  • Track progress of equipment with suppliers to ensure efficient completion and return (Calibration).
  • Maintain an accurate record of all vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment on company databases.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of stores stock.
  • Develop efficient and effective processes and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare tooling kits for new starter vehicles and return stock from leavers onto account.
  • Maintaining a continuous professional development approach, to stay ahead of latest technological advances in vehicle and plant assets.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a stores/warehouse environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team.
  • Enthusiastic, with a can-do approach to work.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, with a flexible approach to work.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A strong team player, with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • PAT/LOLER testing experience preferred.

Additional:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and Database skills.
